I bought a tranny out of a 98 Mark. Has 46,000. while I've got it out, what should I replace on it. He also has a tan interior. Anyone looking for interior parts?

Greg

On the transmission do the Jmod and read the TCCOA transmission tech articles, alot of what you should do depends on if you're keeping it stock or what power level you're going for.

As for the interior are the front seats in good/decent condition?

Need three items, if you don't mind:

Moon roof access cover
Driver side seat shield - don't need the switches
center consul glove box door hinge with spring.

Thanks for checkin'!

I am putting in a 4.11 and tran-loc with a stall converter. But money is running out for this round. So, I'm starting to think about holding off on the rear and do the tranny right. Is the J-mod something I can do? I would so my ability is 8 1/2 out of 10. I'm supposed to get the tranny tonight and look at the interior then. I will let you know.

Thanks

Greg

The jmod is something you definately can do if you just use patience. I never worked on a trans before and I did mine as soon as I bought the car. It took me a while to get all the drill bits though. I would suggest buying all the proper sizes before starting.

A few more details, The car has 42,367 miles I bought the tranny Sat. I bought the car today. Minus the motor. It's White or Ivory pearlescent(will have to verify) / LT. Graphite interior. He says its in near perfect condition. I completely trust the guy. The Tranny looks brand new. Front right conner was hit. I will be keeping some parts for my 96. But I will be selling the rest. I will be doing the J-mod. Thanks for the direction

Poniesvii: Will do! Thanks

Frat-man-du: Sorry, the interior is light graphite. Not Tan.

Staffamerica74: Once I get to doing the J-mod I will definitely remember your words.

Thanks guys for all the help,

Greg

If you can, post a pic of what the interior color looks like. If its similar to the grey of my interior, I would be interested in buying the door panels.

Still take the glove box hinge and seat trim, if you want to sell those.

Frat. It will be another week before I get the car and start parting it out. We'll talk then. Just wanted to get the word started.

Thanks
