Any particular reason my bid on the shifter surround was cancelled?

Pen, I am not surprised as most US sellers on Ebay do not like or will not ship to Canada. I have found in the past that if you contact them first they will ship. If you need something get in touch with Racebronco he will ship to Canada and is very reasonable about it.

I have two other bids still there. I was just seeing how it would all work although I could use a wood surround.

Why would Canada be a problem? I expect to pay more for shipping.

I've shipped to canada dozens of times. No different then shipping to any other country. Some of them have crazy customs reports to fill out, but you can print it all offline....its cake.

Good luck with the sale, ill be watching some items. :)

I ship everywhere. Canada is not a problem. It's a pain if the seller has his shipper because of the delay in paperwork. Parts take about 2 weeks to get out.

I have bought parts for various things from the USA for nearly 30 years. I used to run a high end audio supply outfit, mainly to get me sweet stuff cheap, and used to deal with a bunch of people across the US. Back then it was all catalogs and phone calls.

We have come a long way and usually anything shipped to me in Canada is the same as any local shipment. No duty for almost everything and my last part cleared customs in 1 minute according to the tracker.

I think one should stay away from this. I have even small purchase bids removed and replaced by g**e who appears to be bidding on many things with a high max bid.

A scam.

Pen I have a gen 1 shifter and the OD wire is good. Pm me if you want it.

Oh ya guys FYI I'm selling a bunch of parts off of the 95, my ebay user name is the same as LVC. Also 99 cent lol

Pen, I was just using my experiance with Ebay. Once they see Canada they do not want to ship as they feel it is a pain to fill out the extra form or something like that.

Not to be a prick or anything but KK here on LVC was the same way, refused to ship to Canada when he realized I was over the border, plain out refused and his resonse was "not worth the extra hassle"

I've shipped Mark VIII parts to Canada before without any issue. I never had to fill out anything for customs or do anything beyond what I would normally have to do to ship anywhere in the U.S. (besides paying a little extra for shipping). It's not something I make a habit of, and, if I remember correctly, I have my E-Bay shipping policy set that I do not ship outside the U.S., but, upon request, I have made one or two exceptions and shipped to Canada (never shipped to any other countries, though; never have been asked).

EDIT: Of course, that was back in 2004. I don't know how customs laws may have changed since then.

When I shipped to PenGun I think it was just a few extra $$ and a small customs form. Now to put a tracking/delivery conformation Number on it it was $75 for a small 1 lb part. I'll ship anything any where as long as some one is willing to pay the shipping.

I only ship to the lower 48 unless it's usps flatrate to Alaska or the island. I exclude Canada but If a buyer contacted me i'd do it.. I'm very particular about who i'll sell to on ebay in regards to location and feedback count/history of potential bidders. It hasn't caused issues yet and I sell everything I list. :Beer

There were errors in those listings, you can bid again. Shipping to CAN will be a little extra.

Yep, I've had nothing but positive experiences selling on E-Bay (knock on wood). I go through spurts where I'll list quite a few items at one time, then I may not list anything on there for a year or two. The only "issue" I've had on there was a couple years ago when I sold a transmission to a guy in Michigan. I'd specifically said in my ad that I wanted local pickup only or that the buyer could pay for freight shipping and help me arrange it, but he messaged me before he bid and told me he had family down here visiting that could meet me somewhere and pick up the transmission for him. I agreed, but after the auction ended, he told me the people he was going to have pick up the transmission were already on their way back to Michigan, and he looked into shipping it, but it was going to be too expensive. I agreed to let him off the hook, since he'd been upfront with trying to work with me from the beginning instead of just bidding first and then trying to work something out, and I felt like he was being honest. I had to file a report with E-Bay (nothing much to it) that basically said the deal fell through by no fault of either party, and nobody's feedback was effected, and I got my final sale fee refunded by E-Bay, so everything ended without much drama. Besides that one small bump in the road, everything else has gone smoothly, and I've kept 100% positive feedback.

One key thing I've found to keeping people happy on E-Bay (or selling anywhere really), is to be sure you point out any flaws in the item when you list the ad. Sometimes I might even exaggerate the flaw when I'm describing it- if there are any surprises, I'd rather have someone be pleasantly surprised that the part is better than what they thought they were getting instead of being disappointed.

I agree 100%. Sometimes I feel it might ruin a sale but it often times helps as they'll know you're trying to be completely honest.

Everything anyone has bid on has a **** named bidder who is making damn sure nothing goes cheap.

Your 99 cent sale is a scam dude.

He has been covering his tracks. I am amused by this scam and only actually want one little thing although I have tried to bid on three of them.

I could use a passenger side front corner light for a 93 if you have one.

Awesome ... I have been locked out of the bidding.
ROTFLMFAO

Ummm I would avoid this. ;)

I would sell them to you, but they have already been sold. Seams like the big sellers on gen 1's are HID headlights, and corner lights haha, oh ya and of course the chrome eye brow. That guy is just BS, the way he's trying to rig the auctions.

I've been having trouble with ebays bulk listing system. If you've had any bids removed send me a message here or on eBay and I can get you those parts.

Just so you all know, the bidder id's you see are not the real bidders id. They are phantom id's that Ebay uses to protect bidders. This way they don't get hit by other soliciters.
