99 continental question

im sell my 97 mark viii for a 99 continental i have one issue with the continental im worried about the little message center on the dash blinks in and out until you reset it then everything is normal its almost like a short in the message center.has anyone experienced this?

Might be a broken solder joint, a new used cluster on ebay is under 100 bucks. Quick easy fix.
