Hi All,
I could use help on an AC problem. The navi has two units front and
back. My back blows cold but the front is warm if I put the fan on
high. It is cool on the driver's side front if I keep the fan low. The system is fully charged
with coolant. I am told it is a blend actuator door which is a cheap
part(under 100) that is buried. The entire dash/airbags etc need to
come out for a cost of 1700. from a dealer. I read it may be something
as simple as the door being stuck in the heat position or a vacuum problem. I do not trust the dealer. Does anyone know if you can see it or accessthis door and try to pry it open without ripping the entire inside
apart? I also read that some model Lincolns have an automatic EATC self
test that will sometimes free the door, but when I use the sequence
nothing happens. I swear sometimes if I use the auto start the air is cold but doesn't stay that way.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Macy
