I'm removing the a.c. system, piping, and the hydro fan and going electric fan.

I could use some insight on how to route the belt. I don't really want pulleys in their place. Maybe a different tensioner setup? Has anyone done this? would going to an electric pump make this more manageable?

Also is the power steering cooler needed?...I wouldn't mind ditching that also.

Thanks
Ken

Nah, just don't steer much and you'll be fine.

On the other hand, if you like steering, they didn't throw several dollars worth of hardware on every LS for no reason...

Yeah...cause a car can't run without power steering...and ford was so smart about where they spent their money...They literally spent several dollars for no reason on many of their cars....ima bout to say duck you ignorant guys. Take a breath and consider the taurus...Or Mazda versions of my motor. Duratec 30. I'm really hoping I'm way off and these comments are coming from a v8 perspective...Maybe you got power to waste...I don't.

I have posted a few posts...And you are not being very helpful..

Again...how can I reroute my belt, how important is a power steering cooler. Replacing with a smaller one could be an option...unless that extra space from the deleted hydro fan is needed...let me guess...you can't run with an electric fan...I have to threads on here...Everyone says you can't. That is why I do. When you are sipping on egr gasses I'll enjoy my octane.

how important is a power steering cooler.

why do you think its not needed? its a heavy car, the power steering system makes heat, and heat is bad...

so while you probably COULD do it, it would just be silly since cooler components generally last longer and preform better.

The hydro fan is being removed. The cooler has the fan and power steering running thru it. So AT LEAST a smaller cooler could be used. Although I would prefer no cooler..less hoses. Less clutter. If it is possible, or worth a try. I understand the pump gets hot, but I'm not high revving around corners.

Thanks
Ken

I'm not racing.
