Hi!

I am another lucky one who have problems with A/C. My car when the engine is cold blows nice cool air from both side vents as it should be. When engine gets warmer, it starts to blow warm air from driver side vents. As I understand, this could be DCCV, DATC or electrical circiut problem. Maybe someone could tell how to sort out which of these are wrong? Also i ma interested in, where DCCV is located?

Car is Lincoln LS '00 with 3.9 V8.

Yeah, if we had Lincoln dealer here in Latvia, it would be great :D In reality, it is so, that Lincolns are quite rear (LSes here are only about 12) here and there is no Lincoln dealer, so all repairs for my car are done by one mechanic I trust. The biggest problem is that he has no experience with LS, so he asked me if I could find some info. Maybe someone could suggest some good repair manual for LS I could get?

Good bet its the coolant valve. Sometimes we run into wiring problems to the valve, check the connector for corrosion.

Tap the valve with a hammer or long pry bar and see if it starts working.

Ahhhh....the ol' BFH diagnostic tool! It amazes me sometimes how these shops can have over a quarter of a million dollars in diagnostic equipment and some guy who knows what he's doing can take out his $25 ball peen hammer and find the problem. Sometimes, old school ways are still the best....

Yeah, it is quite often here too, that shops with most advanced diagnostics equipment cant do something. I had a problem with idle on my old project BMW... No one could find what was the problem - one old guy who worked with engines all his life solved the problem in 1 hour :)

the blend valve door sounds suck - seems to be a more and more common issue.

The lucky ones have it un-stick by itself after leaving the car sit overnight - the un-lucky ones have to get the piece replaced. It is an expensive job since you have to remove most of the dash to get to it.....

Ugh! That is ugly! If you have to go that deep to fix it, for God's sake put a heater core in it while you're at it.

Ok...let me clarify that. I don't know what it takes to replace the heater core on this car, but if it's like damn near every other car in the world, it involves removing most of the dash. If so, spend a few bucks and put a new one in while it's apart and put the future issue to rest for another few years.

Thank's for suggestions :) This w-end we will see what was the problem. About removing dash, i was planning to remove it also, because I need to hide here some additional security components my insurance company asked and also hands free system.
