hahaha, let them stay home, most buisenesses will probably just fire them anyways. (well I'm hoping they will). I would fire them. This whole thing is wrong. I think the bill should be passed. And nothing can change my mind. Not even there so called protest.

Mexican immigrant laborers are extremely hard working. In the past, I've worked on crews where I was the only white guy. Implying they are "lazy" is foolish. White guys are the laziest labor source I have ever had the misfortune of having on a crew.

With that said, these activists need to understand that these days of outrage don't accomplish anything but provoking the population of this country and setting back their cause. It's going to backfire.

If I can't get a table at a restaurant because of a walk out, I'm not going to reflect and think about the value served by Mexicans. I'm going to be Pi5S'd off!

OK well here’s my outlook on this. The Latinos that are LEGALLY here (notice I said LEGALLY) do work hard and very hard I might add. To have a walkout like this though will impact them very much. Because being of Greek decent I have been around dinners/restaurant all my life (that’s why I got a long time ago) and from what I have seen if they walk out the next guy will come along and take their place be it Latino or any other nationality. In New York they really don’t care who washes the dishes or buses/waits tables as long as it gets done and I have seen other immigrants that are will to do anything for a job. It will be interesting to see how many of those Latinos have a job after they walk out. From my perspective Greeks are willing to go the extra length to help out an employee but when it interferes with the money coming in you better watch out because they can be the meanest bastards around if need be. When it comes to their pockets they really don’t care how long been working for them or how good you at your job because if you mess with the money coming in your out the door no questions asked.

Tomorrow would be a great time to line up the INS busses all over these cities where thes protest are being held.
Load um up, and ship um out.
A one way trip back to where they came from.
What I find a bit strange about this particular day they chose to ptotest is, it is May day, The biggest day in thcommunist world.
I have heard these protest are backed by the communist party.
Interesting.
Bob.

btw...F em all! anyone i see protesting im calling the INS on immediatly.

I'm not going to comment on that one.

But, it should also be noted, the Mexican guys are extemely racists. And they tend to harrass and chase off virtually anyone who isn't Mexico or willing to work harder than them from the crew or jobsite..

Yeah, you'd only need about 250,000 buses.

Do you really think it is right to imply that all people of any race are lazy? People of every race has those who are lazy and those who aren't.

As for the topic it will be interesteing to see how it plays out.

This thread turned into a pile of racist crap... For those of you who think Mexican's are all lazy and don't want to work... You're sorely underestimating them, they're some of the hardest working people I have ever seen, and they’ll work for less and longer than just about anybody and that is the majority of them. The majority of the ones that cross over illegally are uneducated and beyond dirt poor, the reason they work harder than anyone else to earn what they have.

Having said that, the fact remains that illegal immigration is still a problem and it needs to be dealt with. Just do not classify them as 'A race or lazy stupid free loafers', because you'll be sorely mistaken and in for a colossal surprise.

Certainly isn't... I'm Caucasian and I've seen many lazy utterly worthless white people in my day....

Folks, please do NOT make racial slurs about this or that race being Lazy. Ive edited a few posts in this thread for that reason.

I think all white, bald headed guys, named Dave are LAZY!!!!!!!!!!:shifty:

I concurr -

Arent you missing a few cars in your sig?

Hey I'm not pro Illegal immigrants I have my opinion about the situation. I have my opinion about the un-nationalizing of what had become the American culture. I believe immigrants (legal) are a core of our country. But we have to look at who is hiring the illegal immigrants and giving them refuge. If you look at both sides of congress neither side seems to be doing too much but making it easier for illegals to come in and stay (for their own reasons).

But I we don't have to down grade anyone by their race, religion, sex, or choice of car. (excluding Ricers I guess I have my own issues there...)

We gave an amnesty and fastrack to citizenship to 2.5 million people a number of years ago. All we have today is 2.5 million more illegal immigrants. (The numbers may be off, but in the ballpark)

This approach does not work.

I have no problem with simpler procedure for citizenship - but I have probelms with another amnesty.

I dont care why or how someone came here illegally. The fact is, it was illegal. We have to control the borders. Plain and simple. I dont claim to know the best way to do this, but the issue is about much more then Illegal Immigration - its about the security of the US. If untrained mexicans can just walk across, what does a trained terrorist have stopping him? Nothing.

We need much more border security. Use the military. Take bases in Missouri and Kansas and other inland states and relocate them to the border areas. USE what we already have more efficiently.

As far as the current illegal immigrants - I think the penalties need to be stepped up.

Caught here illegally? Then you should never be able to become a citizen. Maybe prison time for repeat offenders, prison time at hard labor. Have them build the wall to keep them out. I dont care, mexican, irish, italian, canadian, all of them. Illegal is Illegal. All should be treated the same, but there needs to be deterrants.

Yes, we need to get the other side as well. Businesses have to be dealt with also. Businesses that hire illegal immigrants need to be aggresively dealt with. Make it painful and enforce the laws.

Oh, and before anyone says it. Yes, my ancestors were immigrants also. I have no problem with immigrants. But my ancestors did a few things different. They came here LEGALLY - they LEARNED THE LANGUAGE - and they OBEYED THE LAWS.

Some dont really think about this. But most illegal immigrants dont pay the taxes they should as a worker. They claim 10 dependants and get -0- fed or state tax held. They are stuck paying for SS taxes, but thats it.

I protested today by taking the day off. My wife and I went out to breakfast. We bought a bunch of stuff at Lowes. Went and saw a movie. Bought gas, and a car wash. Then did some yard work, and cooked on the grill.

My day of protesting the protesters is over and I am ready for a nap.

Isn't this discussion a little premature? Shouldn't we be trying to CLOSE THE BORDERS first, THEN deal with the illegals already here?

It's like being in a sinking ship filling with water. What do you do first, bale all the water out, or plug the hole?

Duh. (Directed at our leadership in Washington)
