A few questions

When i get a better job.. there are a few things i want to get for my car..

first off
i want the multi spoke 17" wheels from the 03-present town car.. are those the same offset as whats on my 99?

navigator head rests.. got this idea from 97ltcss
how much would these run?
and how the hell do you get the headrest assembly out of the seat?

I want that tire hump for the trunk from E&G.. anyone know a price? Ive got a buddy who owns a body shop who will give me a good price on installing it and paint matching.. so im not worried about that much.

but does anyone know anything about entire car repainting? Ever since i saw a towncar that was 2 tone.. black on top, dark grey on bottom, i have been going nuts for that color combination.. I know when they do a color change they have to paint the jambs, underside of the trunk and such.. but my question here is.. would i be better off buying new unpainted bumper covers and rocker panel pieces and having those painted instead of painting over the old ones? I plan on keeping this car for a long time and want the paint to last as long as the car.

I want a woodgrain steering wheel out of the signature or cartier so bad i would give my left nut for one..
but some say if i get it, the controls wont work..
How hard would it be to make them work? its not necessary.. ive got an aftermarket radio and they wouldnt work on that.. and im not 75 and decrepit so i can reach my climate controls.. but it would be cool to get them and the cruise control working..

and im thinking about taking all the badges off of the car.. any opinions on that one?

for the headrest, You just press a button and it releases the headrest. It should be on one of the holes that the headrest goes into.

Won't fit. I heard you can use spacers, but I can't confirm if that's true or not...

Expensive, but yeah, that is a nice combo. A guy I work with has an 03' Town Car-Ulti with that combo. Don't cop-out and go Maaco or anything. Get a quality paint job by a reputable shop. You get what you pay for...

yo...i bought mine on ebay...just make sure they're the same color...and as far as the headrest: its not just a button, if you look down inside, it looks like a skirt...lil clips all over the thing, just open them all up with a small as screwdriver (like for glasses) and the other ones will just clip in!!!

as for your steering wheel...when i bought an aftermarket deck...i still had my stock wheel in, it worked with the controls...some adio shops have the harnesses, others don't!!! just shop around, you'll find it!!!

and as far as you controls...look at the wire harnesses...if the wires ar changed around a lil bit, its nothing an electrician or even yourself with some good manuas and taking good notes: you'll be able to do it!!!

I just checked and the town car doesn't have them but The conti does bigdog.That is were I saw the switch, I thought that was my TC
