Well after getting my allinement done and new tires, plus just got done changing the oil... I had to wash my car...

Seeing that it was wet I needed to dry it off... so I took it down the road for a little air dry method I like to use..


So I took it up to 110 to 120 3 times as I was drying it off.....

Damn I love these cars....

They ride so nice at 100 mph...

It's amazing at what new tires will do for a ride...
 
hey man i love my contie and getting her up to 110 on a good day with new tires and oil change feel good after a tunup man
 
Not up to 110 - but 110 was the common speed..

I would have taken her to the cut off but a few curves came up too quick...

but she took those curves nice at 100 +...

Well I wish I could say the same here !

This morning I dropped the Mark off at the shop to get a LIST of things done. Pretty much a thorough tune up for the high mileage. Some of them include 255 walbro fuel pump, LMS afpr, new 03 cobra radiator, B&M trans cooler, pcv, idler pulley/gator belt, maybe belt tensioner, brakes, and so on.
Can't wait for the bill on this one. :) Shouldn't be bad, it's my dad's buddies shop and he gets all the part for dirttt cheap and they do a great job.
So the ride will be out of my possession until around Tuesday or Wednesday.

But I did hit it past 120 the other night while driving home at around 4 am. Nice little Beamer flew by me, so I whomped on it got it going and gave that Beamer a run for his money. :Beer
 
wow. that is a lot of stuff you are installing bro. i am still trying to find a decent shop over here that would not over charge on everything (parts and labor). mechanics, and even dealers can not even come close to the prices i get from max, or even some aftermarket parts i can get. at least you know that they will do a mint job on the car, so do not worry you will be back on the road in no time.
 
I've had my 95 up to 120 a few times but I could tell it needed an Alignment and I knew the tires were a bit worn but still safe...

I took her to 120 today but could get her up to 130 as my road got short very quick LOL....

I don't think the curve would have been a problem but at 120+ you should play it safe... don't want to make my wife and kids rich too quick...

But boy with the Allignment and new tires it was very smooth...

Took my 93 to a bit over 130 once it was a very smooth ride... but again curves made me slow down....

These cars ride so nice at 100+ it is amazing... you just don't feel the speed and that's what is scary... Rides too at those speeds.... and gets there to easy... :steering

My boy loves speed I can not get over how casually he does 110! When I came back from the Midwest meet we hit 125 and rode it for a good clip, at least 40 mins! of course slowing for a-holes. The thing you have to remember the guy in front of you is stupid, really really stupid, then you blow his mind by flying up on him like a bat outta H-E-doubletoothpick, freaks him out for about .5 seconds, then jealously sets in and he has to either stay in the fast lane or get in the fast lane to become the Speed Limit Lane Monitor. As I am approaching (as soon as I see any vehicles ahead) I flash my lights at em, my boy is white, so they assume the worst and MASH the brakes and move, if they dont move over, I flash again, by this time I am there and if they have not moved over, I get this magnet light out used for towing and stuff, pop it in the dash, plug it in the lighter, then they move! lolololo not really done the light thing, but I got one and you know one of these days........(but I think that offense is a lot worse than a speeding ticket at 125!)!

Seroiously though, the normal DQ does not have any idea how fast you are going and his 2nd glance at you in his mirror is usually a close up, very important to keep that in mind.

Can anyone tell me what happens at 135, so when I take him there I wont worry that my boy is hurt?

you might feel him fighting and trying to limit out go try it see if you can hold it for a minut girl
