a street race to end my day

some guys met me outside of my work as I just finished my shift and asked if I wanted to participate in their street race, i agreed since it might cheer me up. So the goal was from the red light to speed off and first to the finish line (4 blocks away) wins. So I was faced against a 2006 Acura RSX Type R and a 2000-2004 (hard to tell with the exterior mods) BMW 540i.

Well plain and simple we jetted off..the RSX was kind close to me after a few seconds but left them all far behind me after about 4-5 seconds. It was fun but I wish there was actually a prize...or a speeding ticket to prove I was there :p
 
Cool, but I would have expected a (E39) 540i to win, or at least be close. Was it definitely a 540i and not a poseur pretending his 528/530/535 was a 540?
 
maybe a 535i ......but like i stated it was hard to tell since he debadged it..but it was a 5 series non the less. i've been seeing acuras lately that have been rebadged with honda badges....i rofl when seeing them
 
i will once i can get an SCT I got a company who'll dyno tune my car but I'm hoping to get an SCT tuner second hand for possibly less that what it is new..since a dyno tune will break the bank with me as it is....plus I still need a new rear bumper
 
Ha. Oh yea there is no e39 535i in US, only 528i, 530i, 525i and 540i which is damn fast and will kill any stock LS no matter what the commercial says haha.
 
i'm still waiting for the guy at work to race me in his Chevy truck. i don't even know if he can legally drive. If you can put those cars in the your dust I think i shouldn't have any problems with his truck :D
 
now why would you debadge an acura to make it a honda? you know what im going to do? replace all my lincoln logos with ford logos, that would be sweet
 
my favorite was racing a lexus sc430 back before I put on rims and my intake tube. We were neck and neck at a 40 degree inclined highway blasting through 8 intersections before he slowed down and then I had to turn into my neighborhood.

Great thing about living in redmond is all the nice people with nice cars. I see Teslas, Maseratis, Lambos, Corvettes, Vipers, Ferraris, and other expensive imports driving around on Redmond-Fall City Rd. I even meet up with a few Bentley guys in the parking lot of whole foods (where i shop)
 
Some kids came up on me in the newest body Firebird (plate said fhwk215) maybe it was a Firehawk? But it was red I am not sure what colors they came in. Anyway I didn't realize they wanted to race and they just took off. They turned before we could get to another light together. They probably would have won, but in SSI I think I could have given them a run for their money!
 
I raced an 05 Corvette last weekend on the freeway.He could not keep up with me.
 
In the Dodge? If so, I'm not surprised! :lol:

It wasnt a 540i Pete, sorry to shatter your short lived happiness. I raced one a couple times back when I had my intake and exhaust and went dead even, I didnt downshift once (from a roll) and he utterly raped my a$$, like the kind of rape where the guy doesnt spit on it or anything.

I did however beat a 2005 Mustang GT with a Saleencharger once, he bought it used on ebay and the lobes were completely wiped out and he didnt believe me and put it on anyways, with no gear oil in it to boot. :rolleyes: I told him I tuned my transmission computer and thats why he lost.

as i stated i just know it was a 5 series, it was debadged
