After I put on the back springs and fired the car up, the trac. asst. is off and the Anti-Lock light is lit. This did NOT happen after I put on the front, only the back. Anybody know what I should do?

you messed with, or did something to the ABS line/sensor in the rear.

the coil conversion had nothing to do with the brakes, so you must have accidentally messed with the ABS/speed sensor back there.

Check the sensor that is located just outboard of the right side axle joint at the differential. You will see a "sprocket" mechanism...follow the wire that feeds off the part that makes contact with this sprocket...I'm sure you'll find you hit it when working back there. Check both sides.

The ABS and Traction assist work together(gen 1 traction control is performed through activation of the ABS system).

should be pretty obvious once you look at it...probably pinched a wire while working back there.

Ok, I'll check it out this weekend. Thanks!

My friend...you know where to find me. take a good look underneath there.
Also, check your brake fluid resevoir on the master cylinder. Low brake fluid, or air in the lines will cause the ABS light to come on, and the traction assist light will illuminate, and cannot be turned off at the switch.

Perhaps you damaged a brake line. Dont ignore the front...this could be a residual coincidence that took a few days(week) to rear its ugly head.

Pop the hood now, and check the brake fluid level. If for some reason you went dry, had a leak, or managed to get air in the system, you'll have no choice but to have the brakes bled. perhaps when you were doing the left front you had a run-in with the resevoir?

If it was hydraulic(brake fluid) you surely would have noticed something different in the pedal.

anyway, PM me if needed, ok?
