ABS Sensor question

I don't think it has anything to do with the TC sensors. I think it is read by your transmission.

about half of the people have told me that it is based off of the readings from the two front sensors....the other half tell me that it isn't .....

does anyone know the part numbers or where I can pick up the sensors....the parts stores around here look at me like i am crazy when I ask about them...

Funny enough, there are "speed sensors" in the front and back of the Continental, however I'm still trying to figure out if they are actually part of the spedometer or if they are just used for the ABS system.

There is also a speed sensor attached in line with your Cruise Control system. To me, that would be more apt to be what determines your speed on your speedometer.

the solution to my month long problem was beyond simple....to the point of retardation...someone on another lincoln forum pointed me in the right direction

I went to the in car fuse box and fuse 21 that controls the ABS Control module was completely gone...I popped in a 10 amp fuse and off of a sudden I had my odometer, my speedo, my steering acted like it should and the ABS light went off......no more "Data Distance Error", no more "Speed Data Error"
