Hi,
Everyone. Im the new owner of a 2004 LS v6
I have been lurking for a while. But now need some help.

This AC is fine I can see the ac compressor moving lines are cold.
and I can feel cold air in the vents - its just not moving -no blower

I can adjust temp and then feel hot air - not at the same time-do not think its a dccv issue. I can adjust to face-floor-defrost all good.
I took the blower motor off and got a new one from autozone- plugged it in and it does not move.
Tried to do the datc test. Will not go into test mode. Any Ideas?
If I buy a datc off ebay ? do I need to take it to get programed?
Thanks
J

Datc

If you're sure the DATC will not go into test mode, I will assume there is a problem with it. Try disconnecting the battery for a little while and reconnecting to see it you can reset the DATC. Search the site for further answers to DATC questions.

Thanks Guys I will try both fixes tongiht, Joe I dont know how it got posted twice the first time it said I needed to wait for admin approval- then when I didnt see anything I posted again later in the day.
Im new and still learning about my LS- but love the way it drives.

OK guys,
After removing the fuse's and relays and disconecting the battery.
the DATC was able to go into test mode. It tested good. hooked up test leads to the blower and the blower spins..I took it to a friend that has a voltmeter and he says its the blower motor controller that needs to be replaced, Now how do I get to the blower motor controller and remove it?
Thanks for your help guys.

Oh boy, is this ever a bad day for you. The service manual says that the dash has to come out, the engine coolant has to be drained, and the AC refrigerant has to be recovered. There may be some way around some of that, I haven't tried it.
