I have searched around and see several AC threads but didn't see one where the AC blows cold when set on 80 degrees. This happened the last couple of mornings on the way to work when the outside temperature was in the 60's or so. I had the temp set on 72 and was getting cold so I kept turning up the temp until I hit 80 and it was still blowing ice cold. The setting was on auto, I turned the fan speed manually as low as it would go and set the output to the dash vents only because it was causing my windshield to fog up at the defrost vents. I believe 81 was the breaking point where it finally stopped blowing ice cold air.
I have had another issue, it seems the ac will cool well when I'm driving straight but as soon as I turn, the ac wouldn't blow cold anymore. This issue actually happens very often, almost everyday but it still cools so I haven't given it much attention yet.
Seems like I read somewhere there is a reset or a calibration process but can't seem to find it anymore, if it even exist.
Anyway, any input is appreciated.
My car is a 2005 LS vs ultimate with dual climate control and 94k miles.
Thanks in advance.
