I switched my AC control unit to one out of a Gen II. I noticed that OFF dosen't display. Is this how this is supposed to be?
Both of those issues have been address numerous times. For the first, there is a fix for that. Just check this link. The second problem of no heat, that is just the blend door actuator behind the dash. Do a search on blend door.Dr. Paul said:Are crazy AC Control Units a common problem with Mark VIIIs?
My A/C will be working fine, then I'll hit a bump, and it will shut off. Oh, and my heat doesn't work. The blower works fine, but the air is cold. I'm guessing that may be the dreaded mixture door, but who knows... I live in Phoenix, so I just went through the whole winter and didn't bother fixing it.
