Hey, I have a 96 towncar thats not blowing cold. A lincoln tech told me nothing was wrong with the ac system, but I''m wondering if the problem might be the blend door actuator. The only code I'm getting is 125, which is the tps, so no correlation. The ac clutch cycles, but every 5 seconds, and that doesn't seem right. Changing the ac cycle switch didn't help. I've also heard of the clutch coil being the problem, but how do you get the clutch off the compressor after the belt is off, I couldn't figure it out. Any suggestions?

put freon in lmao you have no freon and i know i spelled it wrong but i dont care ;)

On a hot day, the a/c clutch shouldn't cycle that much. The "correct way" to check it would be to put a/c gauges on it to test the pressures, but I wouldn't recommend that unless you know what your doing, plus it would be expensive to buy.

With the a/c on, if you'll check both sides of the cycling switch with a test light, you'll see you have power on one, and the other is probably coming on and off. If this is what you find, the car needs freon.

Chances are you have a low freon level as mentioned before...

You can but simple guages from Wal-Mart and most automotive parts stores for around 10-30 bucks... This will give you a basic idea of what the pressure is in your system...

The climate control module (on the panel where the buttons you press for a/c operation) has an a/c clutch relay inside on the circuit board that may be bad or a loose solder connection. It's a lot of hard work to get everything out so be prepared for some tender lovin care. If your heater works ok and air blows fine this could be your problem.
