ok, so i installed a headunit tonight and it seems to work pretty well. I was searching and couldnt find a proper answer on weither to use the $50 boxes to work with the headunit. in order to keep the factory amp. like i said, i just used the 20 dollar wiring harness for now, but i dont want to ruin the factory amp.

I know they have a bypass harness for the Jbl amp...which totally unhooks the Jbl amp...and chances are it will sound better then if you leave the Jbl amp hooked up

i ran they factory amp in line with my alpine for 2 years without problems.

i have that harness, it totally doesn't work. forget it.

Ive always rewired all my cars

With the exception when i bought my current car i ran my kenwood on factory Jbl amp it was ok...Really just needed noise at the time..it was January and weather did not permit a rewire

I have also rewired the small tweeter speakers to there own small 4ch adjusted filters accordingly and then ran a second 4ch on 4 premier 6x8's...that wasnt too bad it was pretty loud but anything pioneer and 6x8 had no mid bass...but 2 12" hertz made up for that...rocked that setup in my old '93

But now I have components wired on a 4ch and it doesn't even need subs although I have subs

when you wired the wires from head unit to amp leads hoe did you know which wires went where. im doing the same thing just dont know how to hook aftermarket wires to input harness.what harness did you use and did it have the wire connections laiyout?

use the scosche wiring adapter. it seriously can not get any easier.

you match the wiring adapter colors to the aftermarket radio colors, solder, heat shrink tubing, and plug it in.
that is seriously all.

if you can't figure that out, you're colorblind.
