I have a buddy thats a sergeant with Seminole County Sheriff, not too long ago he was telling me about a new aggressive driver task force that was being developed. Today i got my first glimpse of it, had riced out honda pulled over. Seminole County has eight '06 Mustang GT's with SVT add ons donated from a local dealership. They are plain grey looking 'stangs with regular plates, dark tint. The type of car you'd test at a light if it was next to you. Inside they are lit up like a christmas tree, cant tell one bit from the outside. The only thing that i can spot that gives them away is the laptop thats visable. Anyway they travel in pairs of two specifically targeting cars racing and driving stupid. When they catch you they throw the book at you, writing multiple tickets, requiring a court date and labeling you as an aggressive driver. I know there are a few Orlando people on here so be warned. Maybe we'll finally get some of the ricers off the streets.

P.S. Kinda creepy this was my 666 post.

Thanks for the advice. Ever since I got my xcal2, I wanna race someone but no one races. I will keep the racing down now.

in brevard county florida there is a new white dodge charger with black rims like most spare tires look, but not doughnuts, and its been riding around for a minute now, it will light you up like you read about so watch out in brevard county

South Carolina passer-throughs, should also be leary of gray camaros. They have a couple on the trooper squad...same story as what you are indicating in Florida. But I think they also use them for high speed pursuits here too.

About time for something like that if you ask me...too many asshats in both Seminole and Orange Counties. OC has quite a few completely unmarked vehicles that I've seen with people pulled over on 408.

Intrapment eh? There is a couple of stangs here that belong to the sheriff dpt. They try to get kids to race all the time, its pretty rediculous. Not sure if the ones down there are trying to get people to go though but if they do its bs but than again you need to save it for the track anyway.

From the info that i have been told its the old veteran guys that are involved in that unit, i guess they are less likely to pull something stupid. Its been explained that the cars are used to blend in and "observe" driving habits, not to engage one on one with anyone. Here is a news article i found:

-- A 24-year-old man in Seminole County, Fla., was arrested on suspicion of drag racing police officers in a their new undercover Ford Mustang car, according to Local 6 News.

Police said Adam Rauscher approached two Seminole County deputies Tuesday on state Road 417 and allegedly wanted to race his Mustang against their Mustang, Local 6 News reported.
"As the vehicle passes, estimated going about 80 mph, it revved its engine," Seminole County sheriff's spokesman Andre Shoucair said. "The driver pushed the clutch in, revving its engine, which is an example of enticing a race."
Deputies said they chased Rauscher down at speeds topping 100 mph, Local 6 News reported. He was caught and charged with reckless driving.
After his capture, Rauscher allegedly told officers that he had no idea that they were police and that the Mustangs fooled him, police told Local 6 News.

Thats funny stuff to me. The mustangs are truly the first cars i can say i would be fooled. I can usually spot a unmarked or marked vehicle a mile away. For the past few months in the new LS i havent installed my radar so i have been driving blind, but smart driving skills will always work. Here are some other pics of those guys sneaking around with various cars.

MMM, the Marauder is a sweet car. The 12 days I had one was great, had a good amount of fun in it too and even had a few people change their driving habits once they saw it come up on 'em.

Calm driving habits is the best way to go. I'm 18 and just got a 2000 LS V8. My insurance? 2400 a year. That may not be that high, but it seams hight 2 me?

hell yea northstar i'm 18 i just copped a 2000 ls 8 in cash
haha my insurance is 2800 a year

are you kidding me, We pay 2000 per year for all of our cars, 2 are basic and one of thiem is fully covered and I am 17.

thanks for all the heads up guys. i drive from MA > FL 2 times a year. now that i have my expy, my habits have changed some due to it being slow....but on the highway, this puppy moves. i don't initiate racing, but i don't want to blow by an unmarked at 80+. luckily in all the years i have been driving down, i haven't been stopped yet. :shifty:

yeah I live in the fort myers cape coral area and we have some late model devilles and a late navigator plus chargers muraders, mustang gts. I learned the hard way when the mustang pulled me over for going 35 in a 30... not only do they drive fun cars they are complete jackasses

Its funny, since i've posted this my father called me the other day telling me that he saw it first hand. Just like the news story, my dad who drives a Taurus, said there was a plain jane looking mustang behind him. A "flashy" mustang gt (as he called it) went flying by them. He said the cop behind him hit his siren and some lights in the grill for him to move out of the way and just ran the guy down, couldnt believe how fast the cop took off. I got to say, no playing around for me near home.

We've got some good ones around Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties too (Tampa area). There is a dark blue Dodge Dakota w/tinted windows, and a hard toneau cover on the back.... looks like a nice regular truck. When he goes to pull you over the toneau motorizes up to expose his light bar, and his fog lights are strobes.... I know this, FIRST HAND.. haha.

Also, saw a 2000-2001 LS V8 in Tampa a couple months ago... silver w/strobes for fog lights, and light bar in the back window... had someone pulled over... I about crapped!

They are getting tricky, thats for sure.

Bozz

I think some of those weird cars like the LS and the old Navigators are investigator's cars because I have only seen them out when 8 other squad cars are surrounding the person that they pulled over.
