Trying to resolve a 3-2 flash code on an airbag indicator light. 2000 LS, 292V8, 128,000 miles. Tried splicing new wire/plug pigtail under the driver seat; horn and cruise control works fine, in fact all electrical works fine; checked fuses, all ok. Could it still be a clock-spring in the steering wheel? I am more of a mechanic than an electrician. What am I missing? I really don't want to tackle pulling the steering wheel. Any help out there? There are like 3 fuse/relay boxes on this car, is there something else I could look at besides the fuse shown in the owners owners that is for the airbag system?
Thanks for any advice!

Forscan can give you more detailed codes on the problem and reduce the guessing.
Yes, it could still be the clockspring even though the other functions are working. Forscan (windows version) is free, and the adapter less than $20.

Thanks for the forscan info. I had bought a small obd 2 scanner, but it didn't work with my LS. Worked on other cars I had though. There are so many of those adapters (China made) I am a little leary of trying to pick one that would work for the LS and the airbag codes. If you know a specific one that would work, and are willing to share the model, please do.
