A couple of weeks ago I was driving and about a half hour into the drive my A/C shot up to extremely hot air. I turned the A/C off and later it worked again after getting back into my 2000 Lincoln LS, again for around a half hour.

This has now been a constant for around a month and I am getting ready to drive 9 hours this weekend and would like to get it fixed.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I assume it is a leak, but I am being told that is probably not the case as it does work very well each time my A/C is initially turned on.

Thanks,
Stew

Try running the temp all the way up and wait a couple seconds and then lower it all the way, then pu it on the temp you want. You probably need to replace your DCCV and while your at it flush the radiator and put new fluid in it.
