Hey,
You own a Lincoln, and so I. My air conditioning doesn't work - it doesn't take 134A nor does the clutch do it's thing. I know how to recharge A/C, but not sure what the deal is. What do you think?
ALSO; My power steering works absolutely fine, no problems. But - it makes this awful, metal-on-metal sound. No idea what it is just concerns me.

Did you check to see if the clutch was plugged in? How much 134a did you put in when trying to get the clutch to engage? Also, did you check the fuse?

As was suggested in the other thread, buy yourself a turkey baster and switch out the ps fluid for mercon V. Empty resv, fill with V, cycle the steering wheel clock to clock several times and repeat. Worth a shot.

I haven't checked to see if the clutch was plugged in, where would I find this? And it wouldn't take any 134A, I squeezed the nozzle - checked to see if I properly punctured the can. And still nothing, I also completely forgot about the power steering thing; I have brain damage from a car accident.

I'm pretty sure the connector is behind the clutch in the downward position. I'm not sure why it won't accept the charge. If the can is indeed punctured and firmly attached to the lowside port on the accumulator then it should work. I'm no a/c expert though.

Sorry to hear about the accident. :(

Ah, dude - I'm alive. I'll have to jack up the car to get at that switch, but it's currently raining.
