Air Conditioning Problems

We bought a 1997 Eldorado about a year ago, and even though we have had ot do some major engine work we love it. It is a top of the line model. Seems like everytime we fix something on it something else goes wrong. We turned off the air conditioner one day and now it won't come back on. Any ideas what the problem might be? We had it charged here probably 3 months ago. We took it to the dealer and their diagnostic machine can't even get the air conditioner to registar on it to test it.

I suggest you check the fuse which is likely in the engine compartment in the left side fuse box. The other possibility is that the A/C relay is shot, which is probably next to the same fuse box under a plastic housing. This is where they are in my 94 Eldorado. But first, the fuse.
