Converted the air ride suspension on my 93 Mark 8 to springs. love the ride best thing i ever did, only problem is now everytime i start the car I get the Air Ride switch is off and check air ride error messages. Any way to make this go away?

offshoreafflicted, where did you get the conversion kit from. I can't speak for other companies product, but I know that our's comes with the instructions on how to disarm the warning light. Let me know and maybe I can help you out.

Thanks,

"I am sure a place will be reserved for you in hell ". WOW!! That's a little harsh!:) After all it's not like he replaced the Mark VIII emblem with a Chevy bowtie. :)

Uh Oh

If you would like, you can call our tech number and talk to one of ASE certified technicians. They would be glad to help you with the electronics on your vehicle. Explain your situation, and they will be glad to help. The number for the tech line is 336-597-2733. If you have any further questions I would be glad to help in any way possible.

Thanks,

Since according to ins companies only people under 25 do anything to require higher ins rates I got a tc vs a mark 8. That said I wish I had air all around like on the mark but would rather have air springs and shocks vs air struts up front. Though the nice heavy duty spring with the shock in it like used on some custom air setups of restored "show cars" would be sweet though add alot of cost I'd imagine.

You need to interrupt the message center input lead from the ECU module. Very simple to do. I don't have a schematic handy though sorry. You can pop out the center button arrangement to get to the message center, then cut or install a switch on the correct lead. I'll look for my manual and post a pic of the message center schematic if no one beats me to it...

It's the DG/LG wire that needs to be snipped.

I have a 91 Mark VII LSC and
Anyone that can rag on you for doing the air spring conversion
has obviously not spent unbelievable man hours and
hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to get the thing back up
off the ground --
--- I have and trust me , I am still not sure that keeping the air ride
was the way to go --- This monster is not driveable when the
suspension decides it dont want to play ---
So Dont feel bad about doing the spring conversion regardless
of what some others feel about it -- And hell -- its your ride
--if you want to hang a chevy emblem on it --go for it --
that would be a real conversation piece ---
Anyway if you still need a wiring diagram just let me
know and I will E-Mail a copy to you
