I bought a Air Compressor the other day... A Craftsman 30 gal. Air Compressor, 6 hp, Vertical Tank, Oil Free Pump (link)

It came with a 3/8 in. ratchet wrench, 1/2 in. impact wrench and air hammer (link)

I havent used it much, but I tried to pull lug nuts off a tire, and it didnt seem strong enough. My question is, do I have a lousy compressor or do I need a stronger impact wrench?

For air tools I think the output should be about 90. It sounds like your gun What is the foot pound tourqe on the gun (Air impact) ?

What kind of air hose are you using? If your using the Coily type plastic one that is your problem.I have the same exact setup,I couldnt break lugs no matter what I tried.I upgraded to a regular rubber airhose and all is well.Oh and BTW,90PSI is max pressure for most air tools.Try not to go any higher

Damn an old thread.Im bored, lol:invasion: :dj:

i have an old air compressor, it's a custom: it's 30 years old and WAS on a
GP38-2 this is a train. it has enough power to break a welded lug free. i had to do a little customizing tho. i'm too cheap to buy the real thing.
