Hey guys, havent posted in a while, been working alot. Just put the brembo rotors, painted calipers and new bendix full ceramics on the car. Also just put the 6000K Hid's in the low beams and the fog lights, very nice difference. Angel eyes next, going to clear the corners and switch to LED's. I bought the eibach pro kit just have to get them on, and working on the audio/video. Me and the woman went to the movies today, Got in the car and noticed when leaving my airbag light was on. When we got home, I started the car back up about 10 minutes later and the light was still on, I watched it flash out the code....

It's flashing out 32, than repeating, than staying solid. Anyone help me out here ? Could this be the clockspring issue I'm hearing about ?

I agree. My 2000 LS just had this and mine was the clockspring. The dealer changed it and a pigtail. I was not confident enough to do it myself. I think it was around $380.00 or so to fix it.

I have read that others have found a broken cable underneath the drivers seat. A yellow connector I believe.

good point - it's always worth a check. the connector under the seat is for the driver seat position sensor - wears out because the seat is always moving back and forth.

See I was thinking that it could be the clockspring, but the horn, cruise, and all the radio functions work just fine, woouldnt they be affected ? And I did the clockspring in my ranger, I assume this shouldnt be much different. The ranger had cruise, and horn and airbag etc. in the wheel.

I'm getting the airbag light now also. The yellow wire under the seat is fine, but $380 to fix the clock spring is too much. If there are other step by step instructions on fixing it, than the thread Quik linked to, I'll take 'em.
The car runs fine, but I'd rather upgrade the brakes, suspension, or exhaust than this light for $400.

Thanks.

maybe - maybe not - the clockspring is a ribbon cable that wear through by rubbing on the inside of it's plastic housing. typically it only wears through a wire or two - only effecting those things....

check the connection to the driver position sensor under the seat first - it's easier to check and you can fix it without any parts.

i don't know about you but i never move my driver's seat... i don't think it's moved once since i bought the car and tested it out :D

my clockspring wet bad and the steering controls continued to work fonr for about 3 to 4 weeks then the crusie control buttons got all out of whack.

The code for the underseat is not the same as the clockspring issue. I forget what the other code(s) are but they are different.
