the springs/shocks (struts) will need to be replaced together.
your best bet is to get a kit from strutmasters or some other vendor that puts together the parts. The Taurus parts are not exact, but close. The continental weighs a bit more than a taurus, so the springs dont match up right. Also, the damping in the shock part of the strut is different too.
but if you want to try Taurus parts, I *think* 88-94 will work for ya (same year span as the continental on the same platform). if you can get em off an SHO, you might be better off in the spring department, but the struts might be a wee bit stiff.
Make sure you keep all the fasteners that dont break if your pulling parts from junkyard cars, as you will likely break them on the continental!
