I do apologize if something like this has been posted before, I did look for the pages in this forum and did not see anything like it.

Just thought maybe we could all share some basic info to get to know one another better, even though most do seem like they know so and so. figured it would be good for the newest people, like myself to hear others backgrounds and such.

I'm Chris, nickname is Beamer. Got it way back in 6th grade because my last name is Beams, did not catch on until I started playing basketball. I'm 21 now, born the 15th of September. I used to live in Upstate NY in a small town called Oneonta, kind of between Binghamton and Albany. Moved to NC in Jan. of 2000. My first two vehicles were hand me downs you can say. After we moved here my dad got a newer truck so I "took" his '89 Ranger, which was a nice little truck. Than my sister who still lived in NY got sick of the payments on her '96 stang so my mom took it and I than sorta of had two cars because than I started to learn how to drive stick on her '88 Cavalier z24. I eventually had to make a choice in what car I wanted and chose the Z because it was pretty cool looking, fun to drive and was faster than the Ranger. I kept that even after I purchased a '97 cavalier coupe, which went to my sister in less than a year because I bought an '03 cavalier coupe. Finally sold the z24 (regret that) and bought an '94 eclipse after sometime to use as a beater.

I than traded in my '03 cav. for my 2002 Lincoln LS in Dec. '04. And than in Jan. I traded the eclipse for a 2003 Focus. And those are my current rides.

I work for Food Lion (grocery store for some if you don't know) as a meat cutter, and make pretty decent money. Trying to decide if I want to continue this career or do something else.

I have a g/f who I have been w/ for almost 4 yrs and hope to spend the rest of my life w/ her.

Thats about it for now, sorry for such a long post. Who is next?

I'm 25, I have 3 cars.

1997 Lincoln Mark VIII
1990 Geo Prizm Hatchback
1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic

My first car was an '85 Caprice Classic with over 200k on the odometer. It was a hand-me-down from my dad. I had that for about 6 months when the right front caliper seized, and although it could have been fixed, I had no idea how and I just decided to dump it. After that I got a 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis with 85,000 on it. I took it up to 185,000. I really had no problem with it but I saw a Mark VIII in the parking lot one day and decided I had to have one. I sold the Mercury and picked up a Green '97 in March 2002. I got the "speed" bug and did a few minor modifications. It was at this point that I realized I would need a second car if I wanted to mess around with my car like this. I had never owned a car with a manual transmission and I had a friend that wanted to dump her Geo for 100 bucks. I picked up that in February of 2003. I always loved my first Caprice and so did my Grandmother. So much so that she bought one new in 1988 when she saw my Dad's '85. She kept hers in the garage and drove very little. She unfortunately got sick in May 2004 and could no longer drive. I purchased the car from her with 88,000 miles.

I work for Rutgers University in an ed/tech job. I have a bachelors in Economics and a Masters in Education - both from Rutgers. I do a lot of computer support and installation, however, I am very interested in how technology can support learning.

I currently am single, Cubster was supposed to hook me up with his daughter but he met me in person and now I doubt that is going to happen. LOL. Oh well.

You make me laugh!

It would be cool if we posted all the cars we own... have we done that before?

I've had 17 Pontiac Grand Prix's alone.

All my rides have been put in my sig.

Who is WRCFAN?

Only sites I'm apart of are this one, v6z24.com and another site directed towards J-body's for the most part.

Got the mark, for now...an 86 monte carlo LS, and selling em both for an 85 Monte Carlo SS, hot :q:q:q:qe

Some of this is dated. I'll bring up to speed.

I am 25 now

I have the mixing board and Win2k/Cakewalk box setup and configured in the recording studio but still need mics.

I am putting the building of the X-treme gaming PC and multisystem PC on hold for a while. I no longer need to build an XP Box, I just bought an E-machines PC (not a powerhouse by any means, but I think I got a whole lot of computer for the price considering it only cost $600.) And yes, the old battle axe PII is out of commison, but I'll find some task for it sooner or later. Maybe I'll reformat it, put some software on it, then donate it. Who knows

Jodee didn't get a focus. She said she'd rather not have the car payment, so she went for something she could buy right out and drive...that came in the form of a 1989 Ford Tempo... P.O.S., but serves the Point A to point B just fine. I'll post a pict when I get one. In addition to the pics of Moby, Lucille and Doc that are on this post, I also have a couple pics of the silver bullet and everything that's going on with all of my cars in detail in my member garage.
