almost died in my mark this week......

so there was a noise in the front end of my car that I had my dad check out for me since I have the mechanical skills of a 3 year old girl, and he said "oh don't worry about it, sounds just like a brake caliper bracket or something". Well it got worse everyday and then on last Sunday It was so loud I could hear it over my very loud exhaust and my car was shaking like crazy and I thought for sure I had a flat tire. So i get out and still can't find anything wrong but tracked the sound from my front drivers side wheel. So I take off the center cap and what do I find? 3 wheel studs completly shredded in half and one missing, so basically I was riding on 1 stud and that one was so loose i took it off with my fingers effortlessly. So needless to say I had to take off the wheel, the brakes etc. and get all new studs and nuts for my wheel and it drives fine now, But the ABS light comes on after a while so I think it must of damaged an ABS sensor. How much are those?

Damn dude, that sux. I had the same thing happen, but it was due to a friend of mine who did some work on my car and did not tighten the damn lug nuts and my custom wheels almost took off the rear fender of my car. I also drove from Newburgh, NY to Pittsburgh, PA and had 3 of my lugs sheer off, but on 3 different wheels....so only 1 lug was sheered on each wheel.......talk about nervous on the ride back....hoping that none of the other ones would sheer off.

As far as the ABS stuff......no, sorry I do not. I would say give him a call. He works every other Saturday of the month, but not sure if he will be in today or not......try givin him call and find out not only if it is his Sat off, but what the price is for the parts. :Beer
