almost had a serious problem in my shop

well, alot of people think all it does in florida is rain, but thats far from the truth, but for the past 3 days we have been getting a ton of rain, and it lasts for a long time, which is also rare, but today we had a cell come through northern pinellas county that was so heavy it dumped about 4 inches an hour, and it last about 2 hours, but, because its so wet the new water cant go anywhere. we have a retension pond in the back corner of the parking lot thats 5 feet deep and it was filled to the top of the concrete walls. well the sewer in my parking lot dumps into that pond but it couldnt, when i got to the shop everyone in the other shops were out there staring at it, this was my loading dock, 36 inches deep and only about 4 inches below my shop floor where the metal walls meet the floor, i almost had a majot problem, luckily my buddy chad drove down from hudson with a huge well pump and a bunch of pvc pipe and we got that :q:q:q:q pumpin out in a hurry, i left the shop about an hour ago and i got the water line down to around 22 inches, tomorrow i will finish pumping it out, this is the first time i saw this, the drywall in my shop is brand new because of this, last summer before we moved in the shop had 6 inches of standing water on the floor, the mold started within 10 hours after flooding. i dont want to see this again ever as long as i am in that shop, there is too much inside my shop for it to flood that would blow!

and this was the road coming into my shop, this was about 1500 feet long and 4 feet deep in the middle, not good!

i really hope we dont get any more rain for at least a few days we cant handle anymore.

Sorry, had to throw the "Cubans" in there. Couldn't think of anything else, and I had to have three reasons.

I feel your pain.... I've almost got my Continental running again after this

Not the highest the water got, you can see in the wheel wells how high it really got

Was much deeper in my road.... really sucked. Think I have all the shorts worked out now though. Might have to replace some sensors and other stuff yet. Still got to figure out why the drivers seat doesn't work.
