alpine in dash changer replacement or aux input

I have the alpine in dash changer in my ls and want to put an aux input in. I went to a stereo shop and the guy said I needed to replace the wiring harness to do it. Thay doesn't sound right to me, pretty sure he is trying to hose me. If anyone has done this can you let me know what you used? Thanks in advance!

Look for PIE devices. What year LS? You can try www.ancoauto.com

Some of the adapters are becoming discontinued. Good luck. Wish I could get an adapter for my 2006!
