This is a snip from a Ron Paul supporter on the dailypaul forum.
I posted this as a reply but made a thread for you guys. I am thrilled that I could be a part of this revolution. I wanted you guys to know that even if I am the last person standing once this campaign is over I shall keep spreading the message and protecting it with my life. For it is the truth. Sadly I have some comments I want to share regarding the fiasco that happened tonight and that shall continue in the future:
Some may blame the HQ, others the media, some would question the vote count and the voting machines. My take on all this is that the people of America are in politically correct words "not smart". Yes, you have every right to disagree and say troll and what not but please hear me through.
We should have a poll about our education and if we have traveled the world. I betcha the average Paulite would have an exposure to the world in some form or another. Why is this important?
ask an average American who Brittany Spears , Paris Hilton or Michael Vick is. They will get all excited and woozy. Ask them about Ron Paul they say Rupaul who?. Forget Ron ask them what is going on in the world today and they wont be able to articulate a wee bit. Yes I do apologize that I might be generalizing but I am talking about the average Joe.
American's live in a self made cocoon and the establishment uses this. They provide them entertainment like NFL, NBA and Hollywood to take their minds off their two jobs and growing debt. They feel at ease knowing that when the NFL season ends they have the NBA and when that is over the MLB. They feel comfortable knowing how "stars" like Brittany who "have it all" can screw their lives as well.
Sadly like all empires/colonialists our arrogance is at a sky high. We cannot think of our country as somehow being in trouble or being "bad"( remember the "good vs evil"). The few that know are in denial while the rest of the hierarchy is so filled with greed that they would care less.
In a time like this when I was getting desperate and hopeless seeing the attitude of my fellow country men I heard a guy speak. His name was Ron Paul.
The purpose of all this is to tell you that I have come to an assessment.
America does not deserve a guy like Ron Paul. He is an angel. A guy with such a pure heart that it hurts. For thirty years he has been the sole voice against the status quo. He has to deal with so much of the slandering even after our support, imagine what it would have been like saying all this when he knew none of us were behind him then. What it would be like when he would be the sole vote saying "no" in congress and trying to justify it while the rest made fun of him. It just breaks my heart. The other day I was so excited to watch the ABC debates but when I saw what the rest of the GOP'ers were doing to him I was literally crying. The last time I cried was yrs ago when I lost someone. My friends would laugh if they heard from someone they saw me cry. Because I am a cynical non emotional ass. But I couldn't stand the fact that the doctor was being ridiculed for speaking the truth. Not just ridiculed but snickering and playground bullying. It was like watching Noah tell his son "please there is still time. The rain has just begun but the flood is yet to come . Heed my advice and jump into the boat." But his son ridiculed him by saying I shall climb the highest mountain and shall be safe. Everyone knows what happened next. I had to switch the tv off. Couldn't take it.
Tonight as I see the poll numbers of Hillary and Mccaine climb in a state where I thought I might one day decide to live. I must reiterate America does not deserve a man like Ron Paul. It reminded me of the stephanopolous interview where the doctor asked him if he was willing to bet his every cent and dime that he would not be elected. The answer as you know is history. sigh
Some day when the good doctor is retired and spending time reading at home with his grandchildren, I will drop by with my child(who I hope to have in the future). I will tell him to say hi to the guy who I had proudly taught him about. To say thank you for his services to America and for trying to save his future.
What I do not want my child to ask me is if had tried my very best to get him to the office, so that he would not be in the very situation he talked about.
In the end irrespective of what my fellow Americans have become ignorant, arrogant or whatever, I am just glad to know that there are a few still who believe in the message. They make me proud to be an American...and that is yall the Ron Paul Supporters.....
Thank you....
p.s please stay firm to the message of Ron Paul . he has had to endure so much ridiculing over the 30 years to finally find his true patriots. Please imagine how it would break the old mans heart to read some of the posts in this forum. He could have gone back to his grandchildren and lived peacefully spending his days in retirement. But he chose us. He chose to put his character at stake with all the smear regarding MLK(sickening) and racist false comments. The least we can do is see it through.
