Hi all. New to the forum. I just bought my Ls on Feb 4 and I am loving it. I plan on doing many many mods and I will post pics and such from time to time. I did a few searches and did not come across exactly what I am looking for. so here goes

I assume I have the 12-speaker system b/c I know i have the two subwoofers back in the trunk. From my old grand I am had a 500 RMS mono sub amp and an Infinity perfect 12.1 that I would like to hook up the the LS. I like the stock HU and am happy with the other speakers now so I only want to add the amp and sub.

On my Grand Am, I did the install myself and ran into no problems, but with that I replaced all wire and speakers in the car so I was starting fresh, but I am not sure with this. I am assuming that I can get a line out converter, splice the wires to BOTH the old subs and to the LOC and then use the LOC for my RCA to go into my Amp. From there I am fine, I am just curious if I can still use the old subwoofers by splicing into them, have the wire still connected to them, and also to the LOC for the RCA's w/o producing too many few ohms. Will it produce too much or a load on my amplifier if I do this, or will it not matter. I have a DVC sub wired to two ohms and I dont want to overload it and i know that the stock LS speakers are 4 ohms, so I'm not sure. Thanks all.

So is it ok to still use the facotry subs connected to the LOC which will connect to the Amp's RCA Inputs, and then power my 2 ohm sub? I hope you all can understand that. THanks so much for all help.
