Although I understand why some people need to post a great deal about the Obama presidency, and the ramifications of his policies, etc., the sheer number of posts are beginning to bury other posts here.

Could there be a sub forum on President Obama?

Do you really think that would increase activity in either forum?
I'm inclined to think not.

And how do you distinguish Presidential politics with all other Federal issues?

i think they need their own forum that doesnt come up when clicking the todays posts button, Or go to a political site,

Bush/Anti-Bush threads dominated this forum during Bush's presidency. That is simply the nature of a "politics & current events" forum. Rather then split to an Obama sub thread, the better approach might be to split the forum into two forums; a "politics/current events" forum and a politics/non-current events" forum.

Adequate explaination of which type of post goes in where would probably be necessary, though. Maybe anything pre-Obama in the "non-current events" one and anything dealing with the current administration (and their campaign for the white house) in the "current events" forum.

There would still be a great deal of overlap, but certian things like discussion of where life begins, etc might be better placed in the "non-current events" forum as that issue does go back quite a ways and the arguments really haven't changed much.

Let's use a bipartisanship approach to this issue.

In liberal speak, that means you should agree with me.

If you don't like the thread title, don't peek.

Oh, I know all about 'not peek'. ;)

And, since I wasn't here during the height of the anti bush sentiment I don't have much to compare this too. But, looking back it is about the same - 10 bush posts in this time period in 2005 and 15 in the current time frame on Obama.

I was just looking for a way to more quickly review things.
