Have any of you purchased the Halo angel eyes off of Ebay from fishcake321?, I was just looking for experiences with that particular kit, and with the seller. The kit seems awfully reasonable for a Buy it Now of $85.00, almost to reasonable.

Thanks,

Brooks

I was just checking em out too, but I dont know how good they really are but the price is really good! let me know if u find some more info of em.

The ones in those pictures aren't what you get. The ones in the pictures are of the Umnitza sets and I know no one will sell those kits that cheap.

well thats what keeps me from buying em! does any1 know if somebody actually built their own angel eyes like the guys on that video who makes em himself? I mean in the video they look pretty good.

I know some people that made them for bikes before, some worked and some didn't. You need to be good and patient. The cuts in them need to be just right and spaced at the right spots or it could get choppy. Its something you want to take a few minutes a day with at a time or you will get rushed into it and mess up a bit.

If no one else did them yet whats stopping you? be the first here and let us see what they are about. I know the bikes and the car shown in that clip have smaller reflectors so the thickness of the rod and the bigger diameter of the reflector may also pay a role in how good the look. Try to use a thicker gage rod so they are in proportion to the diameter.

Sounds good! Ima give it a try! now I ought to learn how to open the headlights, I have an extra pair with grey sealant, is anybody has a link or something that will tell me the right way to open em up and where to get that sealant I'll try right away! I also thought about doing em the way he does in the video, he just has like half cirle and puts em on kinda twisted or something, I like the look of em.

Pre heat the oven to about 250 then put the headlights in for about 10 minutes or so. After the timer goes off take them out with a set of heavy duty work gloves and carefully pull them apart.

Thats all!

When you wanna put them back together just reverse the process. Put them together, put them back in the oven and when they are heated up take them out and press around them to get them back in line.

You can also go to LSK's site and look at the tech articles on the bottom of the home page. They got good instructions for a few things.

So I dont need to add sealant?
Ima search for the video to see what do I need to go ahead and buy the stuff.

I used GE silicone, I think for windows and dorrs. It holds good but if I need to I can peel it off easy.

Like I said, just go to the tech articles on that site.

Man I thought it was easier! I thought it was just going to home depot, buy the stuff n get started but, man I went to home depot n lowe's, none of em have reflective tape, the heat shrink they have are either too small or way to big, and the clear rod is a true hard to find! Ive found 1 at home depot but its too thin, I dont think a regular 5mm led will fit in there, and the other one has like a star or something shape. So, I need u guys to point me in the right direction to get the reflective tape, the heat shrimp I'll find it and for the road I went to a warehouse where they work with acrilic where I can even get them with the round shape already! Im also thinking about something to get pretty much the whole circle. However, I do like the way this guy in the video has em!
Do u guys think it'll look good on a black LS??

For the acrylic dow, look at a blinds store like blinds to go or something. The rest of the stuff, Im not sure, you just have to keep your eyes open. Sometimes you find it in all the stuipidest places. Maybe Radio Shack might have the shrink stuff.

Yeah I know! does a blinds to go store really exist??:shifty: Anyways I think I can find those, the shrink too, now I need to know where to get the reflective tape. I was also thinking that usually the reflective side of the tape is not the adesive side, so idk maybe the tape this guy uses is one with the adhesive on the reflective side.
Oh btw, I couldnt find that GE silicone adhesive u told me about, so Im kinda frustated, thank God when I got back home my HIDs arrived! :facesjump

lol... sorry bro, I tried but like I said, anything ment to seal and then peal is ok. Like I said,.... some people tell me RTV gasket seals work good.

As far as blinds to go, I tried that to, it seems Miami is to, how would you say up scale for that. ( j/k)I found a ton of Hi Tech blinds stores that have mechanical bilnds of different types out the a$$...lol.

Oh just in case, I have seen acrylic dow rods at hobby shops before. I just thought of that plus those science teacher type stores.

yeah! i should try that out too! now where the heck am I gonna find a hobbie store? who knows! but I'll get the damn rods somewhere. I called somebody that makes almos anything u want out of acrilic, he told me to call him on monday, so I'll let u know.
Should I take pics of the process? I think its pointless since the video is pretty damn good!
U that have opened the headlights a couple of times, is there enough room between the rear and the black plastic inside the headlights like to hide the ballasts? considering they r pretty small n thin maybe I could put em there.

HID ballasts? The angel eyes dont have ballasts just power inverters but Im not sure if you will even need one with the leds. Either way for other reasons I wouldnt do that.

As far as documenting the angel eyes,.... YES DO IT! I think it would be good if they turn out just right to place that on here seeing on how your doing them Lincoln specific.

Well there yeah go, but what did you mean by this.......

What ballast? Since you mentioned your HIDs even briefly I thought you meant the ballasts for them. Sorry.

The thing is ppl here do steal HiDs a lot! thats why I wanna hide well the ballasts, specially the fogs ones.
I know they should be pretty easy to install, but Id like to check out a tech article or something from an LS owner, have u seen any?
