HI all. I bought an ls back in September but haven't driven it because it needed some work. I replaced all the cooling hoses, spark plugs ,dccv valve, coils and valve cover gaskets. so yesterday was a nice day so I decided to take it for a 10 mile cruise, the car ran fine temperature was dead center the whole time , no missing from the engine and the trans shifted fine, maybe a little hard into first but not bad. Then the car started to beep when I braked for a light and would beep again when I hit the gas for the green light. its a single beep for the brake and a single beep when i take off.no lights on the dash to indicate what it was, it kind of freaked me out so I came right home. I checked my code reader and nothing was on it. I went out today and started it up and shifted it back and forth in the driveway, its not doing it now. Is this something to worry about ? The car isn't legal yet so icant drive it a lot plus its winter and I don't want it getting all salted up. 2003 ls v6 138000 miles

You need a better code reader that can read the codes from all the modules. What year and which engine?
Are you sure it wasn't a beep when you pressed the brake and another one when you released it? If so, it is probably that one of your brake lights has the two filaments shorting together internally. Try it again with the headlights on. Of course, if you have a V8, the message center should be displaying bulb warnings.
