So last year around this time my drivers side rear window burned up the regulator and twisted the wire up in the pulley. Well today my wife told me the passenger side rear window wouldn't roll up. I looked at it and parked it in the garage until tomorrow. The motor runs but the window does not move, this is the exact same thing that happened to the other one. I have not taken off the door panel, but I'd bet I'm going to order a new regulator at the dealer tomorrow. So, I'm guessing if I keep the car for 2 more years I'll have to replace the front two regulators around this time. Just wanted to vent, and I know it could've been worse.

Both of mine have broke as well. Got the regulator and motor at advanced auto parts for $84. Changed them both myself although I was not an easy process. I just tried to put it back together exactly as I found It and they both work now. Good compared to the $400 quotes I was getting per window..

Well I took the door apart today, and was just as expected. The wire was off the pulley and wrapped up inside the motor. The new one was $85 and will be here tomorrow. I don't remember the other side being such a pain to deal with, and of course I snagged the tint somehow. Good thing the tint shop will replace it for free if needed.

I have the same problem with my passenger rear. It took me almost an hour and a half just to get the wire wound and the window to stay completely up. I got closed and locked the controls for the windows to just the drivers controls. I said screw it until spring when I might actually open the rear windows again seeing as how its in the high 30's to low 40's everyday now here in Wisconsin.

And on top of everything, you have to deal with Brett in a Viking uniform...:p
