Hello All,
I'm brand new to this forum and I have to say this is a great site. I'd like to introduce my latest Mark (I've had 2 others).
Disclaimer: I have to say the cars of LaserSVT, Bad97LSC, and Chicken are BAADD $%^&ing ASS!
And I also will add that Ripped Camel guy is kind of a "douche balloon".
Ok to the point. I Just picked it up a nice Mark8 speciman. I have had the car for one week. The car is near perfect.. I plan on having some fun with some mods very soon (including a blower next summer). Here are some details so far:
Bought it off an oldtimer who cant drive it (however he sure loved the thing). God bless him!
Car has 130,000 km (81,000 mile)
Engine was a factory waranty replacement at 80,000 km (50,000 mile)
Car is an absolute missile on the highway!
Headlights are perfect in all ways.
Air ride works perfect
2 sets of 10 spokes (chrome and silver)
Perfect Interior (Two sets of LSC mats)
Pefect paint and Body (very deep gelcoat.. garage kept for 12 years)
No Modifications whatsoever! (I have ordered 1 thing so far .. A pair of cobrastars from Mean Gen).
Equiped with every Electronic Option.
Everything works as it should (except intermitent rear neon problem.. I've never had one work right!!).
Enjoy the pics.. I will post more as I detail various catagories.
I hope I'm not too much damn noob to ask 2 questions..
1.
My rear neon has an intermitant problem. Is the neon supposed to be dimly lit when the headlights are on and the brakes are not activated (like a running light). When the brakes are pressed the neon sometimes activates brightly as it should and sometime it doesn't light up at all. When I hit the panic button on the keyfob the Neon flashes brightly.
How is this Neon supposed to function (does it have two brightnesses.. one for running and one for brakes)????
I'll will likely contact Mr. Glitch in the future for any needed parts / ballast.

Does anybody know of chin spoiler on a mark8 (like the mach1 mustang spoiler). Iam prepared to modify one! Any picures or links would be greatly appreciated.
