i got these two guitars about 2 months ago from a member of another forum who saw that i did painting and asked if i was interested in repainting two of his guitar bodies, so i said sure. well i finally finished them today, the black one i did a month ago, the pewter one i did yesterday and wet sanded and buffed both of them today.
he gave me permission to do as i pleased with one of them, so i painted it a metallic black, then took the clear coat, mixed in a tiny bit of royal violet pearle, and slightly tinted the clear with dodge viper blue base paint, the second one is the same color as his 99 chevy tahoe, its metallic pewter pearle. of course without the pick ups on and the fret board and strings they dont look too impressive but here is how they turned out.
when he gets them back and puts them back together i'll have him send me some pics to update this.
