Is there anyway to disable the horn/lights feature of the Anti-theft system in a '97 Continental. Here is my problem and why I am looking to disable the horn/lights: When I use the keyless entry to lock the doors, it obviously automatically sets the Anti-theft system. Randomly the system will just set itself off. The horn will start honking and the lights come on even though nothing was done to set off the anti-theft system.

Basically I either need a fix to the random problem of the anti-theft system going off or I need to find out how to disable the horn/lights feature.

Thanks in advance.

well you could always remove the Horn and the lights fuse but then you have to plug the fuse back in at night for the light. If your anti-theft is going off, it won't let you start your car. try mannually locking your car, so it wouldn't set the anti-theft on.

There has to be a way of disabling the anti-theft system. Pulling the horn fuse is not the correct answer to my problem.

I am still flabbergasted at the lack of technical information that this site contains. With the exception of one, possibly two members that post to this section, there is almost NO correct information on here :Bang

I know pulling out your fuse is not the correct way. This is from the service CD that ford has for the conti.
