LEDs are such fun. One thing, I f*cking hate how bright the lights on cop cars are these days. I dont understand it, when ever I watch cops even on TV the lights hurt my eyes and those cops dont even appear to be bothered by it. I swear they could use those lights to win wars.
 
do the first one you have there in red lights, but about 40 inches long, and put them into the panel across the gen 1 trunk lid. so when you step on the brakes it does that back and forth.

I was thinking about doing that on the Gen II when my neon burns out but I could wire it up to do incandescent bulbs on the Gen I.

Which reminds me Jamie, I need to see if I can get the lense out of a Gen I third tail light. I have a project I'm working on.

I agree with the brightness of some LED lightbars. The reason they are so bright is for visibility, but there is a fine line between that and blinding. I'm not affected by the brightness of most of them anymore. Although I do like how you see the red/blue make a purple reflection sometimes.
 
I had my wife pick me up from the bar the other night and a cop came flying up to pass and the things made me wanna puke literally. I know they can help visibility but the strobe and colors reduces it drastically if you ask me. To much glare and shadowing.


Tail lights would be cool.
 
You should make some sequencing turn signal lights for the Gen 2 mirrors. I think that would be pretty cool.

They're doing it with the new mustangs as well! I was thinking about doing something similar but I haven't sat down to work that one out yet. I wanted the lights that chased so that's what I worked on. I have some cool ideas it just takes time to get all the planning and building done. I'll let you know if I ever get something like that built. Right now, this isn't a build project, it's just something for myself but if I feel like building them for other, I'll let you know.
