I am trying to determine if my rear passenger side coil is defective prior to talking to Eibach. I have included some pics below and am seeking assistance in correct orientation of the strut and coil assembly prior to install; this is the Eibach Pro-Kit. To my knowledge, the driver's side seems to be correct just based on visual installation and how the car sits compared to the front. The assemblies shown are viewed as if you were looking from the rear of the car, driver's side being on the left. Please notice the slope of the coil hats in pics 2. My question is: Are the slopes to be positioned identical to each other (ie: / / ) or mirrored to each other (ie: / \ ) to compensate for the coil wind?

you should have marked the top plate and the bottom of the shock tower before removing the shock to align it back in, hold the shock where it is supposed to be installed in position and make sure the top mount sits flat.

Yeah, yeah ... I know I forgot to mark them ... it's a beeyotch gettin' old!! Anyway, I just finished removing the passenger side and re-installing it twice with the coil and hat repositioned ... drove the car each time to seat the springs ... nothing; no improvement. It seems to me there's only two ways the assembly can be inserted up into the well due to the 4 offset mounting bolts; and the coil is seated properly into the upper rubber retainer and the plastic bottom seat. I'm down to two posibilities in my opinion ... defective spring from Eibach, or something happened to the dampner during the initial install.
