I got the first Storm, I found out they released the Storm 2 Wednesday, I can get it for 179 w/ a 2 year contract. anybody got any word on performance, I heard BB finally has wifi.
Anybody heard anything on the Storm 2

never been fan of BB, ive played with a few of their phones and wasnt impressed. glad to hear they finally got rid of the stupid track ball though. what company are you with? im with tmobile and have heard quite a bit about that phone though. try tmonews.com they have allsorts of info about new phones.

I am with Verizon, I love their service, been with them for almost 5 years, I wish I could get an iPhone that was able to be unlocked, I have been wanting one ever since they came out.

if your on verizon and are wanting a new phone, wait till the droid line drops there. the software they run is called android, its awesome, t-mobile has had them for a while and verizon is getting them soon check it out.
An unlocked iPhone won't help you--Verizon is CDMA and the iPhone is GSM, so the radio isn't compatible with Verizon's network. The persistent rumor has been that Verizon will be getting an iPhone soon, but their anti-iPhone "iDon't" Droid ads pretty much shoot that in the arse. You can't very well call something a piece of junk, then turn around and start selling it (unless you're Steve Jobs). Plus, if they got an iPhone, it would ruin their image as the "great coverage area, but suck-ass phones" carrier.
YOu need to check out the forums at crackberry.com for your Storm 2 needs. I have the original Storm as well. I am running OS 5.0.328 which is light years ahead of 4.7.75 which originally came on the device. For the first time I am happy with the phone. With the upcoming Flash availability early next year (RIM partenering with Adobe) I will be even happier.
