Its called: How To Build Max-Performance 4.6-Liter Ford Engines, by Sean Hyland. I chose this one because it has references to the Mark VIII engine. I have read it cover to cover and it seems ok. However, there were a couple of things in it i found puzzling. Firstly, it said that nology wires improved spark intensity. (which may be true, but i cant see how a capacitor in a plug wire would make a difference) Secondly, it talks about upgrading the thermostat to a cooler one to keep engine temp around 185 degrees instead of 200 for extra power. Now this is ok but then it goes on to say engine water temp should be between 190-200 degrees for road racing. So i was puzzled... these points aside its quite good and even gives some performance modular recipes, specifically how to build a 405hp cobra engine.
