Anyone else here use a Escort Passport 8500 X50?

I have one and am reading a lot of review about the X50 and the Valentine One and see that they are close in performance, but other reviews that say the V1 blows it away. One thing I noticed is all the digs against the Escort 8500 are not the X50 model and were done in 2002.

I have the blue model and may sell it and get a V1 instead but wanted some feedback from someone who has seen both in action.
