Anyone following the Hadron Collider in France?

We got Gore in DC playing his global warming game and then we have the scientists in France trying to destroy the earth in milliseconds.

The frenchies are trying to start up the collider not having any clue what the outcome might be. If they are successful in creating a 'black hole', the earth could be swallowed in a millisecond. At least that would put me out of my misery having to listen to Gore go on and on about the earth's destruction.

Haven't we used this technology before? I could have sworn I heard of other instances.

there's been quite a few different ones through the years. the lhc being the newest and largest yet. and any black holes created will be so small and last for such a short period of time, they won't even be noticed by anything other than the detection equipment. just some more conservative anti-science scare tactics.
