Today was an interesting day. I ran my car on its most powerful tune all day with the SCT flasher running a lot of octane booster, and it was a huge increase in performance. I ran around for a while datalogging some of the sensors. I have a CAI and a exhaust and the SCT flasher installed. I noticed my car was getting the intake air temperature up to 120 degrees at stop lights and as low as 98 degrees rolling with it being 95 degrees outside here in Chicago. So some improvement needs to be made. I like Quiks idea of a hood scoop but dont have the bravery to cut the hood, so last week I ordered a new headlight for $20. I cut out a hole in the lens and cut out the high beam light and ran a pass through plastic tube through the whole assembly straight into the air filter area. It actually looks pretty nice from the outside. I would like to get the stock air box because I completely cut mine to pull air from the bottom with my last CAI setup, now I need to cut a hole in the side of the box and would like a new template to work with.
The LS really impressed me today with a 3 way race against a newer V6 Accord 2 door stick shift with fart cannons and a 05 v8 auto Stang. As the light turned green, The Accord was falling back further and further behind as the Mustang was keeping up with my rear bumper and could not pull past me up to 110mph.
