Anyone here a firefighter?

I've been thinking about joining the local volunteer fire department here and I was just wondering if anyone here has any fireman experience and also what you think about it.... also, got any of the lights on any of your cars? pics?

I was many moons ago. I still got my blue lights.

It can be real stressful. Like when you have to extricate a child from a car crash and the kid still dies on the way to the hospital. You deal with life and death all the time.

However, it is cool to slap the light up and run red lights while cops wave at ya

oops!!you did say firefighter, I was also a vol. firefighter and ambulance attendant in a small community, serving in a small communuty or neighborhood
brings it closer to home as you are dealing with people a lot of the time that you either know or know of, it can get pretty demanding and depressing at times, but if you dont do it?, who will, of course it has it's rewards as well.

Yeah, FF not FM...Iv been in the game for about 2 years, not so active during school time...I tell ya, its like nothing else though. Gotta love it. Just got a single regular strobe. My buddy though, hes got his whole truck done up. Got white strobes in the headlights and reverse lights, and yellow ones in the turn signals, along with 2 blue strobes, one on the front windshield, and one on the rear. Firefighting is a wet dream for him, lol.
