I got to about 195km to 200km and there was no cut off ...

just wondering

Thanks Razzi

I dyno'd mine last year and top speed there was 145 before it started to cut out.

That's good to know. Car and Driver I think had listed it at something like 131 which was a disappointment since my old SS would easily do 140 and people told me if you had room and stayed on it, it would go over 150.

I would figure with a better profile and a little more HP that the LS has, it should have done better than my old SS.

Not that there are many places where you can do this, but it is fun to know it's there.

I pickup my LS today after warranty replacement of the Solenoid pack and Valve body, should be interesting, or alternatively dull since the tranny bang shifting made life interesting.

Of course, that was before I had the PCM flashed with the SCT Flasher. I bet it would climb higher now since the rev limiter is gone.

sirry for the dumb question, wait no im not what is the pcm and the sct flasher. what does it do and how does it make the car faster.

Razzi,
Think tht you must mave more left in there some place cause 200km/hr only equals 124 mph. lincolnlov

removing the rev limiter from the PCM (using the SCT XCalibrator) will not make the car have a higher top speed - to hit the 143mph without hitting the rev limit.

I been able to hit 147mph (radared) after adding my front splitter and lowering the car 2".

now maybe the extra 20hp from the better tune the SCT XCal can give you will help the top speed ....

only the non-sport models were governed - at 133mph - since they were sold with H-rated tires. the V8 with sport suspension just seems to run out of mustard at 143mph - even though it's not redlined.
