I finished a 2-year project today... painting all the wud pieces in my car. Started with the dash pieces a couple years ago and decided to pop the door panels off and paint the wud on them. Now they all match... gunmetal grey, same as my wheels and grille.

Anyways, as I was disassembling my doors, I noticed that the door panels are actually two seperate pieces held together by a couple nuts and plastic spot welds. I thought it might be a nice simple customization to remove these and have them re-upholstered in a complimenting color... maybe even do it myself. Then I thought maybe someone else might think this would be pretty cool... so, anyone want to trade their light grey door panel tops for my charcoal door panel tops and give your car a nice two-tone interior look???

Simulated woodgrain finish, plastic wood, not real wood. Anyways people, I'm more interested in swapping interior door panels so if anyone wants to have at it, please let me know. I also found some vinyl upholstery that looked like grey carbon fiber... so I might give a try at redoing the upper door panel portion myself.

For all those interested, this is the painted over interior "simulated wood":

What in the world is "wud"?
That is a short way of saying "simulated wood".

Mike, that looks really good. Also, it looks like you might need to get some rubber mats for your car. hehe!

Looks nice, I thought about doing something like that, but I thought about a carbon fiber look for the wud. Also want to paint my calipers but not sure what color, my car is the sage, goldish color, thinking maybe yellow.

You guys are unreal. If I knew detailing the interior of the car was a requirement to posting pictures, I would've told you to sit on a stick and spin.

You'd have to go the carbon fiber vinyl route for the wud, like Ken did. Very tedious thing to accomplish. That's why I went with the "spray and pray" method ;)

As for your calipers, go with bright silver... think it would compliment the color nicely. Maybe even stencil the Lincoln logo on there.
