I would drive it for some time first, especially after being spoiled by the LS.

Just curious, but are you looking at an LT1 (93-97) or LS1 (98-02) or other year Z28??? If it's an LT1 and you ever need a hand I'm pretty knowledgable with those, and am in South Jersey too. Just thought I'd offer to lend a hand if you ever need it.
